Lin joins Eclipse with a unique combination of expertise in microbial genomics, metagenomic sequencing, bioinformatics, and environmental microbiology — adding another critical dimension to our interdisciplinary approach to transforming the subsurface into a productive and secure energy asset.

Our work sits at the intersection of geoscience, engineering, and deep microbiology. Understanding the complex microbial communities that exist within subsurface reservoirs is fundamental to advancing our technology and expanding what's possible for hydrogen production.
Lin's background brings exactly that expertise.
She earned her Ph.D. in Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, following both her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Chemistry from Nanjing University. For nearly a decade she has specialized in next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based microbiome research, applying advanced genomic tools and bioinformatics to better understand how microbial communities function in complex environments.
That experience strengthens Eclipse Energy's ability to study, characterize, and optimize the biological systems that are central to our RenovaStrata™ Technology platform.
